Preference Criteria
Preference
Criteria for Preference of Enrolment in Integrated Catholic Schools
5.1 The child has been baptised or is being prepared for baptism in the Catholic Church.
5.2 The child’s parents/guardians have already allowed one or more of its siblings to be baptised in the Catholic faith.
5.3 At least one parent/guardian is a Catholic, and although their child has not yet been baptised, the child’s participation in the life of the school could lead to the parents having the child baptised.
5.4 With the agreement of the child’s parent/guardian, a significant familial adult such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle who is actively involved in the child’s upbringing undertakes to support the child’s formation in the faith and practices of the Catholic Church.
5.5 One or both of a child’s non-Catholic parents/guardians is preparing to become a Catholic.
Non-Preference
St Mary’s College is able to have 10% of the total number of students as non-preference. Each year we determine how many non-preference students are leaving. This indicates the approximate number we can enrol the following year. For more information on how non-preference applications are processed please click on 'enrolment policy on the right hand menu.
Browser Compatibility:
Currently, the only recommended web browsers are Firefox and Google Chrome. Internet Explorer (all versions) is not considered secure enough to access private student information and is not supported by KAMAR. Microsoft Edge may work if the latest updates have been installed. Safari is known to have numerous problems with reading the KAMAR data (and this is something out of St Mary's ability to fix).
On mobile devices, we currently recommend using Chrome.
